When illness shapes your future When I was younger, I looked at my mother and found her magnificent. Even today, she has that little something reassuring, like many mothers. Mine's self-esteem was put to the test when she was very young. Suffering from lupus, the disease left permanent marks on her face. In elementary school, several classmates asked me what my mother had. Each time, I was surprised by their question because I saw her like all other women. So beautiful, so alive. Without realizing it, his illness shaped my future: it became my mission, my passion.
